Outfits of the Week 8/31

August 31, 2026|By Mia

Welcome back to another edition of Outfits of the Week! This week was a mix of transitional pieces as we slowly ease into fall. I am someone who loves summer but I cannot deny there is something exciting about breaking out those cozier layers and richer colors.

This week I focused on pieces that can work for both seasons. Transitional dressing is all about versatility, and I think these outfits nail that perfectly. Let me walk you through each look.

Monday: Casual Chic

On Monday I threw on my favorite AGOLDE 90s jeans with a white ribbed tank and layered a camel blazer on top. This is the kind of outfit that looks effortlessly put together but takes about five minutes to assemble. I added my Gucci slides and a mini crossbody bag for a look that works for coffee runs, meetings, or lunch dates.

The blazer is from Zara and it is one of those pieces that instantly elevates any outfit. The camel color is timeless and goes with everything from denim to dresses. I have had this blazer for two years and it still looks brand new.

Tuesday: Date Night

Tuesday night we had dinner reservations at one of our favorite restaurants. I wore a black silk midi skirt from Reformation with a fitted cashmere sweater tucked in. The contrast of the luxurious fabrics creates such an elegant look without being too formal.

I paired it with my Saint Laurent heels and the Bottega Veneta Pouch bag. My jewelry was simple gold hoops and a delicate layered necklace. This outfit felt so sophisticated and I received so many compliments throughout the evening.

Wednesday: Work Wear

For a meeting on Wednesday, I went with a tailored trouser look. Wide-leg trousers from COS in a beautiful chocolate brown paired with a cream cashmere knit. I added my Prada loafers and a structured leather bag for a polished professional look.

Chocolate brown is such a beautiful alternative to black for fall. It feels warm and rich while still being incredibly versatile. I am seeing this color everywhere this season and I am fully on board.

Thursday: Athleisure

Thursday was a busy day of errands so I kept it comfortable in my favorite Lululemon Align leggings with an oversized crewneck sweatshirt. I threw on my New Balance 550 sneakers and a baseball cap for a casual, cool-girl vibe.

Even though this outfit is casual, I still like to keep things looking intentional. Choosing matching or complementary tones makes athleisure look put together rather than sloppy. I went with earthy neutrals throughout.

Friday: Weekend Ready

On Friday I wore my Mother Daze flare jeans with a striped Breton top. This is one of my all-time favorite combinations because it is so classic and French-inspired. I added a red lip and my Chanel ballet flats for a touch of Parisian chic.

This outfit is perfect for transitioning into weekend mode. It is comfortable enough for running around but still looks polished. The Breton stripe is one of those patterns that never goes out of style.

Saturday: Brunch Look

Saturday morning we met friends for brunch. I wore a floral midi dress that I found at Amazon. The print is perfect for late summer and the length makes it appropriate for a nice restaurant. I added my straw bag and espadrille wedges for a summery feel.

I love finding affordable pieces that look way more expensive than they are. This dress is under and the quality is incredible. I will be wearing this well into September.

Sunday: Cozy Vibes

Sunday was all about comfort. I spent the day at home working on content and relaxing. I wore matching knit lounge set in a soft oatmeal color. It is from Eberjey and it is the softest thing I own. Paired with my UGG slippers, it was the perfect cozy Sunday outfit.

I truly believe that investing in quality loungewear is worth it. When you feel comfortable and put together at home, it sets the tone for a productive and relaxing day.

That wraps up this week's outfits! Let me know which look was your favorite in the comments below. As always, I will have everything linked in the LTK app so you can shop easily. Have a wonderful week ahead!

The date night outfit is everything! That silk skirt with the cashmere sweater is so elegant. Where did you get the layered necklace?
